The youngest elephant in the store is Hilde. The 10 cm high baby elephant with a raised trunk is one of the manufactory's most successful models. When August Göhring took up his position as a modeller at Nymphenburg in 1914, he was fascinated by the aura of elephants, which he carefully studied at Hellabrunn Zoo in Munich. Elephants are considered wise and strong, besides being endowed with exceptional memories.
