Quality promise
The clear commitment to pure handwork was and is a conscious decision since the founding of the manufactory.
Sustainability? Is part of everyday life at Nymphenburg: with the use of water power, which drives the historic grinding drums, the stirring vat and the turntables, among other things, and the use of natural raw materials from the EU. Compared to other porcelain manufacturers, the production process of preparation and shaping at Nymphenburg is one hundred percent CO2-neutral. By using state-of-the-art firing technology, we have also been able to significantly reduce CO2 emissions when firing the porcelain compared to the past.
But what would the manufactory be without the expertise of our artisans who create these valuable objects? Without their knowledge of the recipe and processing of the porcelain mass; their experience in turning, molding, casting and firing; their know-how in mixing and using the colors? We bear responsibility for these highly specialized employees, as well as for the preservation of our culture and the passing on of culturally relevant techniques to future generations. So that Nymphenburg will continue to be a field of experimentation for the unprecedented, the never-before-seen.
