Barnaby Barford
Already during his design studies in Faenza and at the Royal College of Art in London, the English designer and artist Barnaby Barford specialized in the production and design of ceramics and porcelain. His ironic designs mostly borrow from existing figures, which he deconstructs and reassembles or paints. His work explores the fundamental issues that drive human nature: in terms of morality, the conflict between good and evil, the lack of happiness, and modern society's incessant need for growth. Barford's figures are represented at internationally important fairs and exhibitions. In 2004, the design magazine Wallpaper nominated him for Young Designer of the Year. Barford lives and works in London.

Porzellan Manufaktur nymphenburg
Nymphenburg ist die letzte Reinstmanufaktur ihrer Art. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1747 wird in der Manufaktur des Bayerischen Königshauses die hohe Kunst der Porzellanherstellung gepflegt. Manu factum bedeutet dort bis zum heutigen Tage: komplett von Hand gemacht in Techniken, die von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben und bewahrt werden.
