Nymphenburg x Groningen Museum
In November 2022, Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg will celebrate its 275th anniversary. For the Groningen Museum team, this was the perfect occasion to organize a "small" retrospective on the diversity of our porcelain designs. From October 15, 2022, 1565 pieces from the manufactory's repertoire will be on display in the museum's Philippe Starck rotunda. Curators Marieke von Loenhout and John Feldkamp (himself an active Nymphenburg collector) combined the exhibits with art, fashion, photography and design objects from the museum's holdings. The resulting still lifes are not only a charming compliment to the virtuosity of Nymphenburg's artisans, but at the same time reflect the typical Dutch sense of humor.
