Sustainability
Nymphenburg is the last manufactory in the world where all manufacturing steps are carried out exclusively by hand. Manu factum there means completely handmade to this day in techniques that are passed down and preserved from generation to generation. The porcelain mass, purchased elsewhere already premixed, comes from our own production. All colors are produced and mixed in-house, and the porcelain painters work without stencils.
Each piece is shaped and painted by hand, each ornament is individually garnished, and every break, no matter how small, is cut into the unfired porcelain with tiny knives. This is the only way to guarantee the unrivaled fineness, refinement and brilliance of the porcelain on which Nymphenburg's international reputation is based.
Three centuries of experience and artistry lie in every sink, light fixture or tile created in the master workshops. The value, sustainability and innovative power of each individual unique piece is felt today more than ever in the restless times of our present.
