Luise Terletzki-Scherf
Luise Terletzki-Scherf (1902–1966) was a German sculptor who became known primarily for her imaginative animal sculptures. After studying at the Munich School of Applied Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts, she worked regularly for the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory from 1928 onwards. Her works – mostly small animal figures made of porcelain, bronze, or ceramic – are characterized by a successful combination of true-to-nature observation and artistic playfulness. Her "Pufferfish" from 1958 is particularly famous. To this day, her animal figures remain sought-after collector's items.

Porzellan Manufaktur Nymphenburg
Nymphenburg ist die letzte Reinstmanufaktur ihrer Art. Seit der Gründung im Jahre 1747 wird in der Manufaktur des Bayerischen Königshauses die hohe Kunst der Porzellanherstellung gepflegt. Manu factum bedeutet dort bis zum heutigen Tage: komplett von Hand gemacht in Techniken, die von Generation zu Generation weitergegeben und bewahrt werden.
